The Department of Therapeutic Medicine at the Faculty of General Medicine, Spinghar Institute of Higher Education (Nangarhar), conducted a scientific seminar titled "The Circle of Willis".

This seminar was presented by Dr. Hayat Zaman Shinwari, a lecturer at the Department of Therapeutic Medicine, on Wednesday (16 October, 2024) in the institute’s main conference hall. The event was attended by the faculty dean, deputy dean, lecturers and students.

Dr. Mohammad Javid Haziq, the Dean of the Faculty of General Medicine, welcomed the participants and delivered a comprehensive speech on the importance and necessity of such academic seminars. He emphasized the significance of this topic in enhancing students’ capacity and confidence and extended special gratitude to all faculty members for organizing such scientific discussions under the leadership of the Faculty of General Medicine.

During his presentation, Dr. Hayat Zaman Shinwari provided in-depth insights into the anatomy, location and structural composition of the Circle of Willis, as well as Regional Blood Supply to the Cerebrum, Stroke (Cerebral Infarction), its Epidemiology and Stroke Syndromes. He also addressed participants’ queries in a scientific and professional manner.

At the conclusion of the seminar, Dr. Mohabbat Shah Hemat, Head of the Department of Therapeutic Medicine, expressed his appreciation to Dr. Shinwari for delivering the lecture and shared his positive feedback on the session. He encouraged students to actively participate in similar academic programs. The seminar was formally concluded with a prayer by the faculty's deputy dean, Safiullah Mohabbat.
