The Department of Therapeutic Medicine and the Cultural Affairs Sub-Committee of the Faculty of General Medicine at Spinghar Institute of Higher Education (Nangarhar) organized an academic competition in Pharmacology between the third-year, second-semester students of Sections B and C.

The competition took place on Wednesday (09 October, 2024) in the institute’s main conference hall and was attended by the jury panel, the Dean of the Faculty of General Medicine, the Deputy Dean, faculty members and students.

At the opening of the event, Dr. Mohammad Javid Haziq, Dean of the Faculty of General Medicine, expressed his gratitude to the jury panel, the Cultural Affairs Sub-Committee officials, and all other contributors for organizing the competition. He emphasized that such initiatives are beneficial for the exchange of academic ideas and fostering healthy competition among students, encouraging them to participate actively.

The competition questions and results were prepared and announced in a transparent manner in the presence of all participants. On behalf of the jury panel, Deputy Dean Safiullah Mohabbat declared Section B students as the winners and the faculty administration awarded prizes to the students.

It is worth mentioning that Spinghar Institute of Higher Education and its three faculties, along with the main and sub-committees of cultural Affairs have previously conducted similar intra-faculty and general competitions. These competitions have proven to be highly effective in enhancing students' academic proficiency, communication skills, critical thinking and debate abilities.
