Based on the annual capacity-building plans of the Foreign Languages and Professional Development Department (PDC), as well as the Developmental Plans of the Consultation and Employment Department, the Department of Stomatology at the Faculty of Dentistry of Spinghar Institute of Higher Education conducted a one-day scientific seminar titled "Infection Prevention."

The seminar was delivered earlier today in the institute’s main conference hall by Dr. Bilal Ahmad Siddiqi, Deputy Dean and Faculty Member of the Faculty of Dentistry. The event was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, administrative and academic staff and students.

During the opening speech, Dr. Abdullah Rahmani, the Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, welcomed the participants and highlighted the importance of extracurricular activities, particularly scientific seminars. He encouraged students to actively participate in such events and emphasized that, in the future, students should also take the initiative to organize and present similar academic and informational seminars in coordination with the department and faculty administration.

Dr. Bilal Ahmad Siddiqi provided comprehensive academic insights on various aspects of infection prevention, including the identification of infections, sources of infections, importance and principles of infection prevention, standard precautionary measures, proper disposal of medical waste, appropriate handling of contaminated waste and essential guidelines for infection prevention in clinical settings, particularly in dental clinics.

At the end of the seminar, participants’ questions were addressed in a professional and scientific manner, and the session concluded with a prayer.
