Seminar on the Periodic Review and Annual Monitoring of Academic Programs

As part of the 1404 capacity-building program of the Foreign Languages and Professional Development Department, the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs of Spinghar University, Mr. Nasir Khan Jamal, delivered a guideline seminar on the Periodic Review and Annual Monitoring of Academic Programs.
The seminar, organized in the context of the Periodic Review of the Faculty of Medical Technology’s academic program, was attended by the designated review panel/board, along with the deans and deputy deans of three faculties, heads of departments, and faculty members.
The program began with a Pre-Test assessment, followed by a comprehensive presentation from Mr. Jamal. He highlighted the importance and relevance of the seminar and introduced key terminologies related to the process. He also provided detailed explanations on the following areas:
The Quality Assurance Cycle (QAC)
Definition, objectives, principles, and stages of Annual Program Monitoring
Development of corrective action plans
Monitoring report formats
Overview of the Periodic Review of academic programs
The role of the review panel/board and key stakeholders
Implementation procedures
Suspension processes and outcomes
Merging processes and outcomes
Differences between Annual Monitoring and Periodic Review
At the end of the seminar, Mr. Jamal presented a detailed update on the activities carried out and future plans related to the Periodic Review of the Faculty of Medical Technology’s General Department, in line with the approved action plan.
The seminar concluded with a Post-Test assessment and an interactive Q&A session, during which participants’ questions were addressed thoroughly.
